I Got Up For This?
I just came from a school function called "Donuts for Dads", which requires all the Dads in the school to got to breakfast in the cafeteria with their kids. There's also a "Muffins for Moms" thing earlier in the year, which sounds vaguely dirty but really, and sadly, isn't. All I'm saying is, if certain dads were up until 2:30 the same morning playing poker, and they still managed to drag ass out of bed at 8, there should at least be some fucking doughnuts.

Why are your kids still in school? Mines' been out for a week. I just went to muffins for moms a couple weeks ago. Don't sweat not getting a doughnut. The muffins they served for us were disgusting, slimy, flavorless lumps.
They didn't give you guys Doughnuts!?! Is your kids' school cheap bastards or something?
The kids are in school until the 26th. We had a lot of snow days this witer, and I think that dragged things out a week.
I saw no donuts there. Some coffee cake, some really bad homemade pastries, and some asshole brought sushi. For breakfast.
Yeah, time to transfer the kid to culinary school.
I had never considered sushi for breakfast. I probably never will again.
Yeah, the name's being changed next year to "Not-so-much Donuts for Dads", just to keep everything clear. Or maybe they'll make it a BYOD event. In which case, the strung-out meth user who brought sushi for breakfast would have to eat it himself.
Okay, this is the time when I'm so glad I am practically allergic to "school functions".
And my kid has one more day of school. On Monday. A half day. Fucking ridiculous.
Maybe the "strung-out meth user" (as Eclectic called him) was in charge of picking up and bringing the donuts....then ate them all on the way over.
Or wait? Do stung-out meth users eat a lot or not?
I always get my druggies confused.
Maybe your kid(s) will make it up to you on Father's Day and get you some doughnuts.....
I make it a point to skip that event. Muffins, ha!
