New(ish) Ink

I finally got around to getting a photo of my new tattoo. In an effort to sate Maggie's desires, and because I'm a narcissit at heart, (even if I probably spelled it wrong), I post here a shot of my new tattoo.

If you've ever wondered what a chicken would look like if it got a tattoo of a dragon on its leg, well, now you know.

nice ankles.

What the fuck is that thing next to your leg? Those aren't your pajama bottoms or anything ARE they?

Thanks Tysgirl for for leading me here first and letting me use my "nice ankles" line where it actually works!

When I first glanced at that photo I thought the tat was on your arm and the object beside your leg was your torso. I thought that many tats of cartoon characters was a bit odd. Never mind.

Nice tat. How long did that take?

Ok, if that's your leg there with the dragon on it....what is that rather large tattooed body part next to it, hmmmmm? Limpy, have you been hiding something from us?

And you make fun of me for playing D&D. At least I don't have a dragon tattoo on my leg. Shouldn't there be an elf riding on it's back?

I was gonna ask what that thing next to your leg is, but soozieq beat me to it!

So what is it?!?!?

Geez, if you hadn't told me that was a part of your body I'd have thought that was a tattoo on a piece of PVC pipe. Feed your legs dude.

And that thing (the thing next to your "leg") had better not be your list of possibilities for the next bit of ink. Don't make Zoe go all D&D on your ass.

Nice tat.

And like everyone else here, I won't sleep until you tell us WTF that thing is next to your leg.

I'm not obsessed (I swear) but I came back to see if you answered my question. Upon further inspection I think it's a roll of wrapping paper.

I could be wrong.

Phollower's comment ("Feed your legs dude") made me laugh out loud! Too funny.

Answering the generic question, (that I knew I'd be getting), first, the thing next to my leg is the cover to a huge coloring book belonging to my daughter. It is not now, nor will it ever be, the source of any ideas for future tattoos. Although the dog in the corner is kind of cute.

Soozieq, they are hot ankles aren't they? Frankly, it's a wonder I can walk upright.

Maggie, thanks. Maybe the third tattoo will do it. Of course, I'd have to get it first.

JDR, I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I'd have to bend to get that picture you describe. I think I sprained my brain. The tattoo took a little more than three hours to finish. One sitting.

Tysgirl, I am indeed hiding something from you, but it has nothing to do with tattoos.

Zoe, yeah, that would look good. A guy with a tattoo of an elf. How could that possibly go horribly wrong?

Shelli, liar. But thanks.

BP, see above. Damn kids.

Phollower, is Zoe really all that violent? I've seen pictures. I think if I can keep her at the end of my jab and get into the later rounds, I can take her out.

Oh, and screw you for the PVC pipe shot. Although it was sadly and hilariously accurate.

RW, thanks.

Lil Sis, thanks. And you can rest now. The nystery of the poorly placed coloring book has been solved.

Soozieq, actually, I remembered to move the rolling papers before taking the shot, but hey, thanks for bringing that up!

I love it! I used to collect Dragons.
Nice legs too, did they have to shave them for that ?

Wow, that girl has really big eyes, I wonder why he got that on his leg. And is that a chicken? And a dog? Wow, they seem really random and I wonder why they're all upside down. He needs a tan, his leg is awfully pasty. Wel, it is winter.

...then I read the last paragraph of your post....OH, those aren't tatoos.

Yep. In-case you're wondering I was that girl in school who drew her own conclusions before she read all the direction to an assignment.
It makes life a hellofalot more entertaining when you live life my way.

I'm just sayin'.

Nice tat, by the way,

See.

Oh, and w-e-l-l.

See, all my kanowledge is paying off. Now, if only I get my student loans that way. (paid off)

Pixie, I shaved my leg myself. Made me feel pretty.

PG, I used to do the same thing. It's always fun to get halfway through the answer and realize you're way, way, way off track.

Actually, I still do that when trying to assemble toys.

I don't know a whole lot about tats, but the lines are clean and the color is nice. I like it.

Thanks Mel. Once again your blog has disappeared so I can't visit.

Lil Bit, I'm a sharing kind of guy, what can I say. That's actually a giant coloring book next to me, but to confirm what is probably obvious to anyone, I have little or no say in decorating the house.

TK, D'OH!!

Syd, thanks. I've recommended the artist to several friends and they've never been disappointed. So next time you and K are in CT, he's about 10 miuntes from the airport. I'm just sayin'.

I'll probably never get tattoos, but if I do, I want Jenny Linsky from The Cat Club on one arm, and Little My from the Moomins on the other.

First, I see pain.
Second I see a cool tattoo.

my question;
is it an Eastern or Western Dragon?

1:11 PM
Blogger limpy99 said...

Alkelda, I would have thought you'd go with that Saint whose name I forget, the patron saint of dyers.

Rhonda, it's a Western dragon. I don't like the Eastern art myself. And yeah, it was much more painful than the one I got on my shoulder.

what's the one on your shoulder?
I've always told my boys they can get a tattoo as long as it says,
I love Mom
